Ainstable Walk

On a lovely Friday morning we all set off on a whole school walk from school to Ainstable. We walked down the steep field to the village, crossing the bridge and heading across the sheep field by the river. We walked up the old green lane, crossing the fields and looking back towards Armathwaite, spotting school, the bridge and Coombs Wood.

We all stopped for snack and a drink and energy boosted walked on towards Ainstable. When we reached the church we followed the lane to the village hall and had a picnic on the grass.

We met some little brothers and sisters at the park and had a fabulous play before walking back. The big buddies looked after their younger buddies so well. Everyone walked and chatted and enjoyed spending time together.

Altogether we walked an amazing 9.3 miles, arriving back to school for the end of the day. It was so good for us to be out in the fresh air. We all slept really well!
