On Monday 9th March our whole school, Nursery - Year 6 have shown incredible determination and community spirit by completing a 10.7-kilometre sponsored walk, raising more than £1,100 towards The One Foundation, a charity dedicated to providing clean and safe drinking water to communities around the world.

The walk was organised through our Global Goals work to help pupils understand the importance of access to safe water and to support those who do not have it. Many children around the world have to walk long distances every day just to collect water for their families, and our pupils took on this challenge to show their support and make a real difference.

All children showed fantastic enthusiasm and it was wonderful to see everyone working together for such an important cause.

Throughout the event, the children demonstrated great resilience and teamwork. Despite the distance, they kept smiling and encouraging one another every step of the way. Staff and volunteers also joined in, helping to keep everyone motivated and safe along the route.

Thanks to the generosity of families, friends and the wider community who sponsored the children, the school has raised over £1,100 so far!!

Events like this not only raise vital funds but also help our pupils develop empathy and a greater understanding of global challenges. It was a fantastic day filled with determination, teamwork and a shared goal of helping others.

Well done to everyone who took part and a huge thank you to all who donated and supported the event. Together, we are helping to make a difference.
